TruXedo TruXport vs TruXedo Lo Pro
Same company, same idea, and a genuinely different warranty. One is faster to fit, one sits three-quarters of an inch above the rails.

What this is based on: published manufacturer specifications and warranty terms, cited on each cover; independent published tests where they exist, named and linked; and verifiable owner reports of specific failure modes. We have not fitted these covers to a truck, we do not run a test lab, and we do not claim a test we did not run. Where the evidence for a cover is thin, the page says it is thin.

Scores are our own editorial judgment on the rubric published at our editorial policy page, weighing security, weather sealing, bed access, install effort, durability, value. They are read off published specifications, warranty terms and sourced owner reports. They are not measurements we took, and they are not user ratings.
The short answer
TruXport: published 100 percent bed access, 30-minute install, 5-year warranty.
Lo Pro: published ¾ inch above the bed rails, limited lifetime defect warranty, under an hour to fit, nearly full bed access.
Unusually, the cheaper one wins on function and the dearer one wins on warranty and looks.
Published figures
| TruXport | Lo Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Warranty | 5 years | Limited lifetime against manufacturing and material defects |
| Install time | 30 minutes or less | Less than 1 hour |
| Profile | Not published | ¾ inch above the bed rails |
| Bed access | 100 percent, rolled to the cab | Nearly full - roll and buckle, or remove without tools |
| Material | Vinyl on a clamp-on aluminum frame | Industrial-grade tear-resistant vinyl, gloss powder-coat frame |
| Finish | Vinyl grain | Leather-grained |
| Rail mounting | Clamp-on | Side rails mount inside the bed |
Neither publishes a load rating, which is correct for a soft cover. Both are no-drill clamp-on fits with vehicle-specific hardware.
The warranty is the Lo Pro's real argument
Limited lifetime against manufacturing and material defects, against five years. On a soft cover where the vinyl is the component that ages, lifetime defect coverage is genuinely valuable and it is longer than anything else in TruXedo's soft range.
Read what it covers, though: defects in manufacturing and materials. That is not the same as wear, and no warranty in this category covers vinyl that has chalked because it sat in the sun for six years without protectant. Which is the owner's job.
The profile is the Lo Pro's other argument
Three-quarters of an inch above the bed rails, published. That is the only published profile figure among the soft covers in our registry, and the difference is visible — the rails mount inside the bed rather than over the rail caps, so the truck keeps more of its own line.
If the reason you want a cover includes wanting the truck to look better, that figure is what you are buying.
The TruXport's argument
TruXedo publishes 100 percent bed access for the TruXport and “nearly full access” for the Lo Pro, which roll-and-buckles to the bulkhead. That is a small but real difference, and it runs the opposite way to the price.
Plus: 30 minutes against under an hour to fit. Both are easy; one is easier.
The verdict
Buy the TruXport if the cover is a tool: you want the bed clear, you want it fitted this afternoon, and five years is plenty of warranty for a cover at this price.
Buy the Lo Pro if the cover is also about how the truck looks, or if you intend to keep the truck long enough for a lifetime defect warranty to pay for itself.
The picks in detail
#1 · Full bed access on a budget
TruXedo TruXport
TruXedo · Roll-up (soft)
The roll-up most people mean when they say roll-up: vinyl over a clamp-on frame, 30 minutes to fit, 5-year warranty, rolls forward for 100 percent bed access with nothing left in the bed.
What it does well
- Rolls completely forward, so full bed access costs you nothing but the roll itself
- 5-year warranty on a soft cover at this price is genuinely good
- Lightest install in the registry — 30 minutes, no tools beyond what is in the box
Where it gives way
- Vinyl offers no meaningful theft resistance; treat it as a weather and privacy cover
- Rolled to the bulkhead it sits proud of the rails, so it is visible and in the way of a full-height load
- Vinyl needs a UV protectant on a schedule or it chalks
Skip it if: Security. A soft vinyl cover keeps weather and eyes off your cargo; it does not stop a knife.

#2 · A soft cover that sits flush
TruXedo Lo Pro
TruXedo · Roll-up (soft)
The TruXport with the profile taken out of it: a published three-quarters of an inch above the rails, a leather-grained finish, and a limited lifetime warranty against defects.
What it does well
- Limited lifetime defect warranty — the longest coverage in this registry
- Three-quarters of an inch above the rails is a published figure and it looks it
- Rails mount inside the bed, so the bed rail caps stay visible
Where it gives way
- Nearly full access, not full — the rolled bundle and its buckles stay in the bed
- Soft cover, so the security story is the same as every soft cover: there isn't one
- An hour to fit rather than the TruXport's 30 minutes
Skip it if: Anyone expecting the whole bed clear. Rolled and buckled it gives nearly full access, not the TruXport's clean 100 percent.

Common questions
What is the difference between the TruXedo TruXport and Lo Pro?
The Lo Pro sits a published three-quarters of an inch above the bed rails with a limited lifetime defect warranty and a leather-grained finish; the TruXport fits in a published 30 minutes with a 5-year warranty and gives 100 percent bed access rolled forward. Unusually, the cheaper cover has slightly better bed access.
Is the TruXedo Lo Pro worth the extra over the TruXport?
If you care how the truck looks or expect to keep it a long time, yes — the published three-quarter-inch profile is visibly flatter and the limited lifetime defect warranty outlasts the TruXport's five years. If the cover is purely functional, the TruXport is faster to fit and gives marginally better bed access.
Does the TruXedo Lo Pro's lifetime warranty cover worn vinyl?
No. It covers manufacturing and material defects, which is not the same as wear. No warranty in this category covers vinyl that has chalked from years of UV exposure without a protectant — that is owner maintenance.
Which TruXedo roll-up gives more bed access?
The TruXport, marginally. TruXedo publishes 100 percent bed access for it rolled to the cab, against 'nearly full access' for the Lo Pro, which rolls and buckles at the bulkhead. The Lo Pro can also be removed without tools for genuinely full access.
